Securus Expects to Win $100 Million of New Business in 2017, Almost Double Its Previous High of $53 Million in 2016. Superior Technology, Lowest Inmate Rates, Broadest Product Set, and Best Customer Service Allows Securus to Take Substantial Market Share
DALLAS, TX August 23, 2017/Business Wire/ -- Securus Technologies, a leading provider of civil and criminal justice technology solutions for public safety, investigation, corrections and monitoring, announced today that it had set a new record in the industry by selling $73 million of new contracts in the law enforcement and corrections sector, and had exceeded its full year budget of $65 million.

Securus, JPay, Guarded Exchange, STOP, Archonix, Cara Clinicals, CellBlox, Telerus, Direct Hit, Primonics, JLG Technologies, Pamet, and PHD Medical have been awarded contracts at the highest rate in our history,” stated Richard A. ("Rick") Smith, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Securus Technologies. "Through the first eight (8) months of 2017, we were awarded $73 million of annualized revenue for law enforcement and corrections contracts and that exceeded our full twelve (12) month budget in the first 67% of the year," stated Smith.

"This means that in total, Securus and its subsidiaries have won over 85% on a revenue weighted basis of new business offered in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other competitive bidding processes," said Smith. "Competitors find it difficult to match what we have created at Securus Technologies – superior technology, lowest inmate rates, broadest product set, highest commissions, a Technology Center to demonstrate what we do, and the best overall customer service. That is a difficult set of attributes to compete against – and our dollar value of new wins and win percentage metrics support the good decisions that government officials make when they choose Securus," stated Smith.
"In May, 2015, we opened our Technology Center in Carrollton, Texas – about five (5) minutes from our Corporate Headquarters. Since that time, we have presented to 1,250 existing and prospective customers. We have demonstrated over 1,100 products that are real and in use today by other customers – inmate customers, friend/family customers, corrections customers, and law enforcement customers. This is a key factor in our record new wins that we are presenting today.
