The Taylor County Sheriff’s Department announced today that they have chosen Securus Technologies, Inc. as their inmate phone provider. Securus is a leading provider of inmate communication services and innovative offender and case management software design.
Taylor County, on average, houses 105 inmates. Securus Technologies was chosen based upon the phone system’s remote access capabilities, superior features and controls, and the ability to monitor and record visitation phones

Contracted on June 5, 2009 the 5 year contract is valued at $505,765. The service is expected to go live on August 23, 2009.
